This is a day trip : Drive up along the Mae Kok river for a scenic view of the Mae Kok valley. Visit the Karen village of Ruam Mitr and ride an elephant around this former teak logging site. Continue by car to Kwai Woir Dum of the Karen. Then, after a visit to a Lahu village, embark on a Bamboo Raft for the 2 hour then return by car to Chiang Rai. The excursion includes a stop at a hot spring and a picnic lunch.
