      The journey along the Mekong River at the Lao PDR border begins in Chiang Saen, one of the oldest archaeological sites in northern Thailand, where you'll have the chance to explore ancient ruins and learn about the region's fascinating history. A visit to Wat Phrathat Chomkiti, a stunning hilltop temple, offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and rivers, providing the perfect spot for photography.

       The adventure continues with a boat ride along the Mekong River, where you'll arrive at Ban Had Bai, a traditional Thai Lue weaving village. Here, you’ll witness the meticulous art of weaving passed down through generations and interact with local artisans, learning about their cultural heritage.

       Lunch awaits at Rai Saeng Aroon, an idyllic farm specializing in organically grown produce, where you'll indulge in a delicious meal made from the freshest ingredients, all while enjoying the peaceful countryside ambiance.

       After lunch, the river journey takes you downstream to Chiang Khong, a bustling commercial hub located at the Thai-Laos border. This gateway marks the beginning of the historic road to China, and during your visit, you’ll gain insights into how local communities live, trade, and interact across borders, offering a unique opportunity to observe the cross-cultural exchange between two countries.
